More accurate than other sensors
The research-grade TEROS 06 soil temperature profile probe
accurately measures and records soil temperature over time at six
depths exceeding WMO recommendations. It is regularly used in
the field and in lysimeters. TEROS 06 contains digital
sensors at -5 cm, -10 cm, -20 cm, -30 cm, -50 cm, -100 cm. And,
unlike other profile probes on the market, every TEROS 06
sensor is individually calibrated for the highest possible accuracy
(±0.1°C).
Minimize soil disturbance
TEROS 06 has a small diameter of 20 mm to minimize soil
disturbance, plus it was specifically engineered to eliminate heat
transfer. The fiberglass-reinforced plastic body has a very
low thermal conductivity, so there is no temperature carryover
between profile layers. Stainless steel rings ensure excellent
heat conductance from the soil to the sensor, so you know you're
only measuring soil temperature at a precise location.

specially-made auger, and insert the probe. Then, plug the sensor
into your ZL6
logger and start collecting data. It's that easy. The logger
auto-recognizes the TEROS 06 for simplified setup and
configuration. The TEROS 06 also works with non-METER loggers.
